IDEA Money Watch tracks the Federal funding provided to states and local school districts to support the special education services and supports provided to more than 8 million students with disabilities.

The FY2026 funding level for IDEA Part B was $14.2 billion, the same as FY2025. Advocates are asking Congress to provide $16.7 billion for FY2027.

The President's Budget Request for FY2027 is expected by the end of March.
