Alternate Assessment aligned with Alternate Academic Achievement Standards

In April 2020 the USED granted every state a blanket waiver of the testing requirements of ESSA for the 2019-2020 school
year due to widespread Covid19 school closures. Therefore, waivers of the 1% cap were not necessary for 2019-2020.

Below is the state waiver activity regarding the 2019-2020 school year.

Alabama
