Conducted October 14,, 2009
ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
Many states and districts are implementing Response-to-Intervention procedures both as a system for providing early interventions to struggling students and a special education diagnostic tool for evaluating and identifying students with specific learning disabilities.
This presentation is designed to demonstrate how assessment can specify a student’s difficulties and direct instruction related to the use of evidenced-based practices for students with reading difficulties. This presentation explains how to use quantitative and qualitative evaluation data to determine appropriate interventions for reading and how to monitor progress. Advocates will learn how to use this information to effectively navigate RTI systems, balance the needs of students with schools’ RTI agenda and ensure prompt and adequate resources for student success.
